Tom in an enthusiastic advocate of our history and heritage with experience working internationally in major cultural institutions including the British School in Rome.
Sara Bowie
Office and Retail Manager
Sara has a wealth of experience in successful arts management, from arts centers to the general management of Hay Festival, as well as her own independent gallery, which was recognized as a Centre of Excellence by the Crafts Council.
Mari Fforde
Activities and Learning Manager
Mari is a passionate educator and advocate of the history of Hay. She has a long association to the castle, having worked during the development phase of the renovation project.
Helen Lowther
Events Manager
Helen is planning events with great energy and creativity as our new Events Manager. She has a decade’s experience in the events and hospitality industry between London and Hay.
Helen Furnell
Volunteer Coordinator
Helen has worked locally in a variety of retail roles most recently as Manager of Richard Booth’s Bookshop. She brings a special set of skills in customer service and staff training.
Rachel Ferrington
Facilities Manager
Rachel has been working in heritage and education for many years and has specialist skills in decorating and construction as well as a background in ceramics. She is well known around Hay as Girl Friday.
Daisy Ruse
NPG Creative Intern
Daisy is an Art History Graduate who will be developing her skills in museum and gallery practice, and gaining practical experience in working in the Visual Arts, Museums and Galleries and Visitor Attraction sectors.When she's not working, Daisy can be found riding with her dogs down Gospel Pass or reading ghost stories by lamplight.
