Tom in an enthusiastic advocate of our history and heritage with experience working internationally in major cultural institutions including the British School at Rome.
Sara Bowie
Retail, Events and Weddings Manager
Sara has worked in the Arts since the Stone Age and ran her own Gallery in Hay as well as working as General Manager of the Hay Festival. When not in the office she is usually found in the general vicinity of a horse.
Mari Fforde
Activities and Learning Manager
Mari has seen the Castle rise from a ruin to the remarkable place that it is today and wonders if she will ever escape its walls. A love of communicating history runs through her veins and it is very difficult to stop her talking about Matilda de Braose.
Helen Furnell
Office Manager
Helen is the hub of the office and brings a wealth of experience in service industries as well as endless ocal knowledge. She looks after everyone and she can also be caught singing when she thinks we can't hear her.
Brandon Hall
Buildings Manager
Brandon is passionate about old buildings and mountains. He broke a Guinness World Record in climbing and nothing seems to scare him - be it scaling the Castle walls or Mount Everest.
Abi Jenkins
Volunteers and Activities Coordinator
Abi likes playing with paper and glue and loves running workshops with both children and adults as well as supporting our amazing crew of volunteers. She is a qualified teacher, a woodturner and makes a delicious cake.
