Hay Castle Trust are looking for new trustees.

Do you have experience of charity trusteeship in the museums and galleries sector or general trustee experience?

Other areas we are looking for include the ability to advise on media and public relations and we are also looking for a representative of the younger members of our community.

Jenny Bennett

Jenny is a Human Resources professional with broad experience of strategy and operational people management from a variety of sectors 

Robert Collingwood

Robert Collingwood has worked as an architect in London and Prague undertaking new build, adaptation and conservation projects. He was for 10 years a trustee of St John’s Smith Square. Now living on a Radnorshire farm 

Ed Fox

Ed is a senior communications strategist with 25 years in the heritage sector, specialising in media relations and building alliances with stakeholders 

Chris Fyles

Chris is a tax expert who was latterly a partner at KPMG and continues to advise clients such as General Motors, with a particular specialism in VAT 

Fiona Howard

Fiona has been Mayor of Hay and headteacher of Hay Primary School among many other roles in the town 

Sue Malthouse (Chair)

Sue is a retired commercial solicitor who practiced at a national education, charities and public sector law firm

Alice Sherwood

Alice has a background in business, broadcasting, and academia. She is also a writer, and has served as a trustee of the London Library and the Hay Festival Foundation

Karen Usher, DL

Karen is a retired Human Resources entrepreneur from Washington, D.C. with a broad background in not-for-profits and start-up organisations. She also serves as a trustee for Dorstone Relief in Need and The Spectris Foundation, as well as being the Founder and an Ambassador for NMITE.
